From export to shared record

Five steps. One clear record.

Preparing your own records or reviewing them for someone else? Start with a native WhatsApp export, review it for free, then export when the presentation is ready.

  1. 01

    Import your native export

On a laptop or desktop, open UnPack and choose your WhatsApp TXT or ZIP. For a saved Evidence Package, choose the package ZIP instead. The file is read locally in your browser.

  2. 02

    Explore the conversation

Read the messages, search for words or phrases and move between matches. Review participant and attachment information. Check missing-media warnings against the material you actually have.

  3. 03

    Prepare the record

Choose which dates to display, add case or document details, choose where participants appear and review masking or message references. Preview the document and decide whether to include the original TXT appendix.

  4. 04

    Unlock the outputs when needed

Reviewing and preparing are free. When you need an output, check the price shown in the app. One confirmed export unlock covers Print / Save as PDF and Save Evidence Package.

  5. 05

    Save, share and reopen

Save the package to keep the source, supplied media and settings. A recipient can import the saved ZIP in UnPack. Its signed receipt can restore paid export access after verification.

Before you begin

Bring the export to your computer.

You need a WhatsApp TXT or a ZIP with one identifiable chat. A screenshot or a WhatsApp backup is not the same as a native chat export. Include media when it is relevant and available.

WhatsApp’s official export guidance explains how to obtain the source. Keep that original file, even after saving an UnPack package.

Before you close the tab

Save the work you want to keep.

Unsaved working state is held in browser memory and can be lost when you refresh or close the tab. Save an updated Evidence Package after making presentation changes. Keep your PDF separately if you need a printable copy.
